Elly Simmons is a fine artist from San Francisco. She has illustrated books with Children's Book Press (Magic Dogs Of The Volcano) and has been commissioned for numerous public projects. Her colorful work has been translated into tapestry by a Mexican weaver and into numerous greeting cards and calendars by Pomegranate Press. Her latest book is Calling The Doves by Juan Felipe Herrera (Children's Book Press, 1995). Her jacket for Go And Come Back (DK Ink, 1998) was spectacular.
